Corinthians II chapter 6

Corinthians II 6:1: ^A Gawaurstwans jaþ~þan bidjandans, ni sware anst gudis niman izwis.; ^B Gawaurstwans jah þan bidjandans, ni swarei anst gudis niman izwis.; — συνεργοῦντες δὲ καὶ παρακαλοῦμεν μὴ εἰς κενὸν τὴν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ δέξασθαι ὑμᾶς –; — Adjuvantes autem exhortamur ne in vacuum gratiam Dei recipiatis.; — We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.; — En wij, als medearbeidende, bidden u ook, dat gij de genade Gods niet tevergeefs moogt ontvangen hebben.; — Puisque nous travaillons avec Dieu, nous vous exhortons à ne pas recevoir la grâce de Dieu en vain.
Corinthians II 6:2: ^A mela auk, qiþiþ, andanemjamma andhausida þus jah in daga naseinais gahalp þeina. sai, nu mel waila andanem; sai, nu dags naseinais.; ^B mela auk, qiþiþ, andanemjamma andhausida þus jah in daga naseinais gahalp þeina. sai, nu mel waila and<a>nem; sai, nu dags naseinais.; — λέγει γάρ, καιρῷ δεκτῷ ἐπήκουσά σου καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ σωτηρίας ἐβοήθησά σοι: ἰδοὺ νῦν καιρὸς εὐπρόσδεκτος, ἰδοὺ νῦν ἡμέρα σωτηρίας –; — Ait enim : Tempore accepto exaudivi te, et in die salutis adjuvi te. Ecce nunc tempus acceptabile, ecce nunc dies salutis.; — (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.); — Want Hij zegt: In den aangenamen tijd heb Ik u verhoord, en in den dag der zaligheid heb Ik u geholpen. Ziet, nu is het de welaangename tijd, ziet, nu is het de dag der zaligheid!; — Car il dit: Au temps favorable je t'ai exaucé, Au jour du salut je t'ai secouru. Voici maintenant le temps favorable, voici maintenant le jour du salut.
Corinthians II 6:3: ^A ni ainhun in waihtai gibandans bistugq<e>, ei ni anawammjaidau andbahti unsar;; ^B ni ainhun þannu in waihtai gibandans bistugqei, ei ni anawammjaidau andbahti unsar;; — μηδεμίαν ἐν μηδενὶ διδόντες προσκοπήν, ἵνα μὴ μωμηθῇ ἡ διακονία,; — Nemini dantes ullam offensionem, ut non vituperetur ministerium nostrum :; — Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:; — Wij geven geen aanstoot in enig ding, opdat de bediening niet gelasterd worde.; — Nous ne donnons aucun sujet de scandale en quoi que ce soit, afin que le ministère ne soit pas un objet de blâme.
Corinthians II 6:4: ^{A + B} ak in allamma ustaiknjandans uns swe gudis andbahtos in stiwitja managamma, in aglom, in nauþim, in aggwiþom,; — ἀλλ' ἐν παντὶ συνίσταντες ἑαυτοὺς ὡς θεοῦ διάκονοι, ἐν ὑπομονῇ πολλῇ, ἐν θλίψεσιν, ἐν ἀνάγκαις, ἐν στενοχωρίαις,; — sed in omnibus exhibeamus nosmetipsos sicut Dei ministros in multa patientia, in tribulationibus, in necessitatibus, in angustiis,; — But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,; — Maar wij, als dienaars van God, maken onszelven in alles aangenaam, in vele verdraagzaamheid, in verdrukkingen, in noden, in benauwdheden,; — Mais nous nous rendons à tous égards recommandables, comme serviteurs de Dieu, par beaucoup de patience dans les tribulations, dans les calamités, dans les détresses,
Corinthians II 6:5: ^{A + B} in slahim, in karkarom, in unsutjam, in arbaidim, in wokainim, in lausqiþrein,; — ἐν πληγαῖς, ἐν φυλακαῖς, ἐν ἀκαταστασίαις, ἐν κόποις, ἐν ἀγρυπνίαις, ἐν νηστείαις,; — in plagis, in carceribus, in seditionibus, in laboribus, in vigiliis, in jejuniis,; — In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;; — In slagen, in gevangenissen, in beroerten, in arbeid, in waken, in vasten,; — sous les coups, dans les prisons, dans les troubles, dans les travaux, dans les veilles, dans les jeûnes;

Corinthians II 6:8: ^A jah þairh wulþu jah unswerein, þairh wajamerein jah wailamerein, swe airzjandans jah sunjeinai, swe unkunþai jah ufkunnaidai,; ^B þairh wulþu jah unswerein, þairh wajamerein jah wailamerein, swe airzjandans jah sunjeinai, swe unkunþai jah ufkunnaidai,; — διὰ δόξης καὶ ἀτιμίας, διὰ δυσφημίας καὶ εὐφημίας: ὡς πλάνοι καὶ ἀληθεῖς,; — per gloriam, et ignobilitatem, per infamiam, et bonam famam : ut seductores, et veraces, sicut qui ignoti, et cogniti :; — By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;; — Door eer en oneer, door kwaad gerucht en goed gerucht; als verleiders, en nochtans waarachtigen;; — au milieu de la gloire et de l'ignominie, au milieu de la mauvaise et de la bonne réputation; étant regardés comme imposteurs, quoique véridiques;
Corinthians II 6:9: ^{A + B} swe gaswiltandans jah sai libam, swe talzidai jah ni afdauþidai,; — ὡς ἀγνοούμενοι καὶ ἐπιγινωσκόμενοι, ὡς ἀποθνῄσκοντες καὶ ἰδοὺ ζῶμεν, ὡς παιδευόμενοι καὶ μὴ θανατούμενοι,; — quasi morientes, et ecce vivimus : ut castigati, et non mortificati :; — As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;; — Als onbekenden, en nochtans bekend; als stervenden, en ziet, wij leven; als getuchtigd, en niet gedood;; — comme inconnus, quoique bien connus; comme mourants, et voici nous vivons; comme châtiés, quoique non mis à mort;
Corinthians II 6:10: ^A swe saurgandans, iþ sinteino faginondans, swe unledai, iþ managans gabigjandans, swe ni waiht aihandans jah allata disnimandans.; ^B swe saurgandans, iþ sinteino faginondans, swe unledai, iþ managans gabigjandans, swe ni waiht aihandans jah allata disnimandans.; — ὡς λυπούμενοι ἀεὶ δὲ χαίροντες, ὡς πτωχοὶ πολλοὺς δὲ πλουτίζοντες, ὡς μηδὲν ἔχοντες καὶ πάντα κατέχοντες.; — quasi tristes, semper autem gaudentes : sicut egentes, multos autem locupletantes : tamquam nihil habentes, et omnia possidentes.; — As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.; — Als droevig zijnde, doch altijd blijde; als arm, doch velen rijk makende; als niets hebbende, en nochtans alles bezittende.; — comme attristés, et nous sommes toujours joyeux; comme pauvres, et nous en enrichissons plusieurs; comme n'ayant rien, et nous possédons toutes choses.
Corinthians II 6:11: ^A munþs unsar usluknoda du izwis, Kaurinþius, hairto unsar urrumnoda.; ^B munþs unsar usluknoda du izwis, Kaurinþius, hairto unsar usrumnoda.; — τὸ στόμα ἡμῶν ἀνέῳγεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς, κορίνθιοι, ἡ καρδία ἡμῶν πεπλάτυνται:; — Os nostrum patet ad vos, o Corinthii ; cor nostrum dilatatum est.; — O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.; — Onze mond is opengedaan tegen u, o Korinthiers, ons hart is uitgebreid.; — Notre bouche s'est ouverte pour vous, Corinthiens, notre coeur s'est élargi.
Corinthians II 6:12: ^{A + B} ni þreihanda jus in uns, iþ þreihanda in hairþram izwaraim.; — οὐ στενοχωρεῖσθε ἐν ἡμῖν, στενοχωρεῖσθε δὲ ἐν τοῖς σπλάγχνοις ὑμῶν:; — Non angustiamini in nobis : angustiamini autem in visceribus vestris :; — Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.; — Gij zijt niet nauw in ons, maar gij zijt nauw in uw ingewanden.; — Vous n'êtes point à l'étroit au dedans de nous; mais vos entrailles se sont rétrécies.
Corinthians II 6:13: ^{A + B} aþþan þata samo andalauni, swe frastim qiþa, urrumnaiþ jah jus.; — τὴν δὲ αὐτὴν ἀντιμισθίαν, ὡς τέκνοις λέγω, πλατύνθητε καὶ ὑμεῖς.; — eamdem autem habentes remunerationem, tamquam filiis dico, dilatamini et vos.; — Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.; — Nu, om dezelfde vergelding te doen,, ik spreek als tot mijn kinderen) zo wordt gij ook uitgebreid.; — Rendez-nous la pareille, -je vous parle comme à mes enfants, -élargissez-vous aussi!
Corinthians II 6:14: ^{A + B} ni wairþaiþ gajukans ungalaubjandam; unte ƕo dailo garaihtein miþ ungaraihtein aiþþau ƕo gamainduþe liuhada miþ riqiza?; — μὴ γίνεσθε ἑτεροζυγοῦντες ἀπίστοις: τίς γὰρ μετοχὴ δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἀνομίᾳ; ἢ τίς κοινωνία φωτὶ πρὸς σκότος;; — Nolite jugum ducere cum infidelibus. Quæ enim participatio justitiæ cum iniquitate ? aut quæ societas luci ad tenebras ?; — Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?; — Trekt niet een ander juk aan met de ongelovigen; want wat mededeel heeft de gerechtigheid met de ongerechtigheid, en wat gemeenschap heeft het licht met de duisternis?; — Ne vous mettez pas avec les infidèles sous un joug étranger. Car quel rapport y a-t-il entre la justice et l'iniquité? ou qu'y a-t-il de commun entre la lumière et les ténèbres?
Corinthians II 6:15: ^A ƕouþ~þan samaqisse Xristau miþ Bailiama aiþþau ƕo daile galaubjandin miþ ungalaubjandin?; ^B ƕouh þan samaqisse Xristau miþ Bailiama aiþþau ƕo daile galaubjandin miþ ungalaubjandin?; — τίς δὲ συμφώνησις χριστοῦ πρὸς βελιάρ, ἢ τίς μερὶς πιστῷ μετὰ ἀπίστου;; — quæ autem conventio Christi ad Belial ? aut quæ pars fideli cum infideli ?; — And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?; — En wat samenstemming heeft Christus met Belial, of wat deel heeft de gelovige met den ongelovige?; — Quel accord y a-t-il entre Christ et Bélial? ou quelle part a le fidèle avec l'infidèle?
Corinthians II 6:16: ^A ƕouþ~þan samaqisse alhs gudis miþ galiugam? unte jus alhs gudis siuþ libandins; qiþiþ auk guþ: þatei baua in im jah inna gagga jah wairþa ize guþ jah eis wairþand mis managei.; ^B ƕouh þan samaqisse alhs gudis miþ galiugam? unte jus alhs gudis sijuþ libandins; qiþiþ auk guþ: þatei baua in im jah inna gagga jah wairþa ize guþ jah eis wairþand mis managei.; — τίς δὲ συγκατάθεσις ναῷ θεοῦ μετὰ εἰδώλων; ἡμεῖς γὰρ ναὸς θεοῦ ἐσμεν ζῶντος: καθὼς εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς ὅτι ἐνοικήσω ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐμπεριπατήσω, καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτῶν θεός, καὶ αὐτοὶ ἔσονταί μου λαός.; — qui autem consensus templo Dei cum idolis ? vos enim estis templum Dei vivi, sicut dicit Deus : Quoniam inhabitabo in illis, et inambulabo inter eos, et ero illorum Deus, et ipsi erunt mihi populus.; — And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.; — Of wat samenvoeging heeft de tempel Gods met de afgoden? Want gij zijt de tempel des levenden Gods; gelijkerwijs God gezegd heeft: Ik zal in hen wonen, en Ik zal onder hen wandelen; en Ik zal hun God zijn, en zij zullen Mij een volk zijn.; — Quel rapport y a-t-il entre le temple de Dieu et les idoles? Car nous sommes le temple du Dieu vivant, comme Dieu l'a dit: J'habiterai et je marcherai au milieu d'eux; je serai leur Dieu, et ils seront mon peuple.
Corinthians II 6:17: ^A inuþ~þis usgaggiþ us midumai ize jah afskaidiþ izwis, qiþiþ frauja, jah unhrainjamma ni attekaiþ, jah ik andnima izwis; ^B inuh þis usgaggiþ us midumai ize jah afskaidiþ izwis, qiþiþ frauja, jah unhrainjamma ni attekaiþ, jah ik andnima izwis; — διὸ ἐξέλθατε ἐκ μέσου αὐτῶν καὶ ἀφορίσθητε, λέγει κύριος, καὶ ἀκαθάρτου μὴ ἅπτεσθε: κἀγὼ εἰσδέξομαι ὑμᾶς,; — Propter quod exite de medio eorum, et separamini, dicit Dominus, et immundum ne tetigeritis :; — Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.; — Daarom gaat uit het midden van hen, en scheidt u af, zegt de Heere, en raakt niet aan hetgeen onrein is, en Ik zal ulieden aannemen.; — C'est pourquoi, Sortez du milieu d'eux, Et séparez-vous, dit le Seigneur; Ne touchez pas à ce qui est impur, Et je vous accueillerai.
Corinthians II 6:18: ^{A + B} jah wairþa izwis du attin jah jus wairþiþ mis du sunum jah dauhtrum, qiþiþ frauja allwaldands.; — καὶ ἔσομαι ὑμῖν εἰς πατέρα, καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔσεσθέ μοι εἰς υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας, λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ.; — et ego recipiam vos : et ero vobis in patrem, et vos eritis mihi in filios et filias, dicit Dominus omnipotens.; — And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.; — En Ik zal u tot een Vader zijn, en gij zult Mij tot zonen en dochteren zijn, zegt de Heere, de Almachtige.; — Je serai pour vous un père, Et vous serez pour moi des fils et des filles, Dit le Seigneur tout puissant.
