Timothy II 1:1: ^A Pawlus, apaustaulus Iesuis Xristaus þairh wiljan gudis bi gahaitam libainais sei ist in Xristau Iesu; — παῦλος ἀπόστολος χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ διὰ θελήματος θεοῦ κατ' ἐπαγγελίαν ζωῆς τῆς ἐν χριστῷ ἰησοῦ; — Paulus Apostolus Jesu Christi per voluntatem Dei, secundum promissionem vitæ, quæ est in Christo Jesu,; — Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,; — Paulus, een apostel van Jezus Christus, door den wil van God, naar de belofte des levens, dat in Christus Jezus is,; — Paul, apôtre de Jésus Christ, par la volonté de Dieu, pour annoncer la promesse de la vie qui est en Jésus Christ,
Timothy II 1:2: ^A Teimauþaiau, liubin barna, ansts, armaio, gawairþi fram guda attin jah Xristau Iesu fraujin unsaramma.; — τιμοθέῳ ἀγαπητῷ τέκνῳ: χάρις, ἔλεος, εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς καὶ χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν.; — Timotheo carissimo filio : gratia, misericordia, pax a Deo Patre, et Christo Jesu Domino nostro.; — To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.; — Aan Timotheus, mijn geliefden zoon: genade, barmhartigheid, vrede zij u van God den Vader, en Christus Jezus, onzen Heere.; — à Timothée, mon enfant bien-aimé: que la grâce, la miséricorde et la paix te soient données de la part de Dieu le Père et de Jésus Christ notre Seigneur!
Timothy II 1:3: ^A awiliudo guda meinamma, þammei skalkino fram fadreinam in hrainjai gahugdai, ƕaiwa unsweibando haba bi þuk gaminþi in bidom meinaim naht jah daga,; — χάριν ἔχω τῷ θεῷ, ᾧ λατρεύω ἀπὸ προγόνων ἐν καθαρᾷ συνειδήσει, ὡς ἀδιάλειπτον ἔχω τὴν περὶ σοῦ μνείαν ἐν ταῖς δεήσεσίν μου νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας,; — Gratias ago Deo, cui servio a progenitoribus in conscientia pura, quod sine intermissione habeam tui memoriam in orationibus meis, nocte ac die; — I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;; — Ik dank God, Wien ik diene van mijn voorouderen aan in een rein geweten, gelijk ik zonder ophouden uwer gedachtig ben in mijn gebeden nacht en dag;; — Je rends grâces à Dieu, que mes ancêtres ont servi, et que je sers avec une conscience pure, de ce que nuit et jour je me souviens continuellement de toi dans mes prières,

Timothy II 1:5: ^A gamaudein andnimands þizos sei ist in þus unliutons galaubeinais sei bauaida faurþis in awon þeinai Lauidjai jah aiþein þeinai Aiwneikai, gaþ~þan~traua þatei jah in þus.; ^B .... gaþ~þan~traua þatei jah in þus.; — ὑπόμνησιν λαβὼν τῆς ἐν σοὶ ἀνυποκρίτου πίστεως, ἥτις ἐνῴκησεν πρῶτον ἐν τῇ μάμμῃ σου λωΐδι καὶ τῇ μητρί σου εὐνίκῃ, πέπεισμαι δὲ ὅτι καὶ ἐν σοί.; — recordationem accipiens ejus fidei, quæ est in te non ficta, quæ et habitavit primum in avia tua Loide, et matre tua Eunice, certus sum autem quod et in te.; — When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.; — Als ik mij in gedachtenis breng het ongeveinsd geloof, dat in u is, hetwelk eerst gewoond heeft in uw grootmoeder Lois, en in uw moeder Eunice; en ik ben verzekerd, dat het ook in u woont.; — gardant le souvenir de la foi sincère qui est en toi, qui habita d'abord dans ton aïeule Loïs et dans ta mère Eunice, et qui, j'en suis persuadé, habite aussi en toi.
Timothy II 1:6: ^{A + B} in þizozei waihtais gamaudja þuk anaqiujan anst gudis, sei ist in þus þairh analagein handiwe meinaizo.; — δι' ἣν αἰτίαν ἀναμιμνῄσκω σε ἀναζωπυρεῖν τὸ χάρισμα τοῦ θεοῦ, ὅ ἐστιν ἐν σοὶ διὰ τῆς ἐπιθέσεως τῶν χειρῶν μου:; — Propter quam causam admoneo te ut resuscites gratiam Dei, quæ est in te per impositionem manuum mearum.; — Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.; — Om welke oorzaak ik u indachtig maak, dat gij opwekt de gave Gods, die in u is, door de oplegging mijner handen.; — C'est pourquoi je t'exhorte à ranimer le don de Dieu que tu as reçu par l'imposition de mes mains.
Timothy II 1:7: ^A unte ni gaf unsis guþ ahman faurhteins, ak mahtais jah frijaþwos jah inaheins.; ^B unte ni gaf unsis guþ ahman faurhteins, ak mahtais jah friaþwos jah inaheins.; — οὐ γὰρ ἔδωκεν ἡμῖν ὁ θεὸς πνεῦμα δειλίας, ἀλλὰ δυνάμεως καὶ ἀγάπης καὶ σωφρονισμοῦ.; — Non enim dedit nobis Deus spiritum timoris : sed virtutis, et dilectionis, et sobrietatis.; — For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.; — Want God heeft ons niet gegeven een geest der vreesachtigheid, maar der kracht, en der liefde, en der gematigdheid.; — Car ce n'est pas un esprit de timidité que Dieu nous a donné, mais un esprit de force, d'amour et de sagesse.
Timothy II 1:8: ^{A + B} ni nunu skamai þuk weitwodiþos fraujins unsaris Iesuis nih meina, bandjins is, ak miþarbaidei aiwaggeljon bi mahtai gudis,; — μὴ οὖν ἐπαισχυνθῇς τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν μηδὲ ἐμὲ τὸν δέσμιον αὐτοῦ, ἀλλὰ συγκακοπάθησον τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ κατὰ δύναμιν θεοῦ,; — Noli itaque erubescere testimonium Domini nostri, neque me vinctum ejus : sed collabora Evangelio secundum virtutem Dei :; — Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;; — Schaam u dan niet der getuigenis onzes Heeren, noch mijns, die Zijn gevangene ben; maar lijd verdrukkingen met het Evangelie, naar de kracht Gods;; — N'aie donc point honte du témoignage à rendre à notre Seigneur, ni de moi son prisonnier. Timothy II 1:9: ^A þis nasjandins uns jah laþondins uns laþonai weihai, ni bi waurstwam unsaraim, ak bi seinai leikainai jah anstai sei gibana ist unsis in Xristau Iesu faur mela aiweina,; ^B þis nasjandins uns jah laþondins laþonai weihai, ni bi waurstwam unsaraim, ak bi seinai leikainai jah anstai sei gibana ist unsis in Xristau Iesu faur mela aiweina,; — τοῦ σώσαντος ἡμᾶς καὶ καλέσαντος κλήσει ἁγίᾳ, οὐ κατὰ τὰ ἔργα ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ κατὰ ἰδίαν πρόθεσιν καὶ χάριν, τὴν δοθεῖσαν ἡμῖν ἐν χριστῷ ἰησοῦ πρὸ χρόνων αἰωνίων,; — qui nos liberavit, et vocavit vocatione sua sancta, non secundum opera nostra, sed secundum propositum suum, et gratiam, quæ data est nobis in Christo Jesu ante tempora sæcularia.; — Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,; — Die ons heeft zalig gemaakt, en geroepen met een heilige roeping; niet naar onze werken, maar naar Zijn eigen voornemen en genade, die ons gegeven is in Christus Jezus, voor de tijden der eeuwen;; — par la puissance de Dieu qui nous a sauvés, et nous a adressé une sainte vocation, non à cause de nos oeuvres, mais selon son propre dessein, et selon la grâce qui nous a été donnée en Jésus Christ avant les temps éternels,
Timothy II 1:10: ^A iþ gaswikunþida nu þairh gabairhtein nasjandis unsaris Iesuis Xristaus gatairandins raihtis dauþau, iþ galiuhtjandins libain jah unriurein þairh aiwaggeljon,; ^B iþ gaswikunþida nu þairh gabairhtein nasjandis unsaris Iesuis Xristaus, gatairandins raihtis dauþau, iþ galiuhtjandins libain jah unriurein þairh aiwagge<l>jon,; — φανερωθεῖσαν δὲ νῦν διὰ τῆς ἐπιφανείας τοῦ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ, καταργήσαντος μὲν τὸν θάνατον φωτίσαντος δὲ ζωὴν καὶ ἀφθαρσίαν διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,; — Manifestata est autem nunc per illuminationem Salvatoris nostri Jesu Christi, qui destruxit quidem mortem, illuminavit autem vitam, et incorruptionem per Evangelium :; — But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:; — Doch nu geopenbaard is door de verschijning van onzen Zaligmaker Jezus Christus, Die den dood heeft te niet gedaan, en het leven en de onverderfelijkheid aan het licht gebracht door het Evangelie;; — et qui a été manifestée maintenant par l'apparition de notre Sauveur Jésus Christ, qui a détruit la mort et a mis en évidence la vie et l'immortalité par l'Évangile.
Timothy II 1:11: ^{A + B} in þoei gasatiþs im ik merjands jah apaustaulus jah laisareis þiudo,; — εἰς ὃ ἐτέθην ἐγὼ κῆρυξ καὶ ἀπόστολος καὶ διδάσκαλος.; — in quo positus sum ego prædicator, et Apostolus, et magister gentium.; — Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.; — Waartoe ik gesteld ben een prediker, en een apostel, en een leraar der heidenen;; — C'est pour cet Évangile que j'ai été établi prédicateur et apôtre, chargé d'instruire les païens.
Timothy II 1:12: ^{A + B} in þizozei fairinos jah þata winna; akei nih skama mik, unte wait ƕamma galaubida, jah gatraua þammei mahteigs ist þata anafilh mein fastan in jainana dag.; — δι' ἣν αἰτίαν καὶ ταῦτα πάσχω, ἀλλ' οὐκ ἐπαισχύνομαι, οἶδα γὰρ ᾧ πεπίστευκα, καὶ πέπεισμαι ὅτι δυνατός ἐστιν τὴν παραθήκην μου φυλάξαι εἰς ἐκείνην τὴν ἡμέραν.; — Ob quam causam etiam hæc patior, sed non confundor. Scio enim cui credidi, et certus sum quia potens est depositum meum servare in illum diem.; — For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.; — Om welke oorzaak ik ook deze dingen lijde, maar word niet beschaamd; want ik weet, Wien ik geloofd heb, en ik ben verzekerd, dat Hij machtig is, mijn pand, bij Hem weggelegd, te bewaren tot dien dag.; — Et c'est à cause de cela que je souffre ces choses; mais j'en ai point honte, car je sais en qui j'ai cru, et je suis persuadé qu'il a la puissance de garder mon dépôt jusqu'à ce jour-là.
Timothy II 1:13: ^A frisaht habands hailaize waurde, þoei at mis hausides in galaubeinai jah frijaþwai in Xristau Iesu,; ^B frisaht habands hailaize waurde, þoei at mis hausides in galaubeinai jah friaþwai in Xristau Iesu,; — ὑποτύπωσιν ἔχε ὑγιαινόντων λόγων ὧν παρ' ἐμοῦ ἤκουσας ἐν πίστει καὶ ἀγάπῃ τῇ ἐν χριστῷ ἰησοῦ:; — Formam habe sanorum verborum, quæ a me audisti in fide, et in dilectione in Christo Jesu.; — Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.; — Houd het voorbeeld der gezonde woorden, die gij van mij gehoord hebt, in geloof en liefde, die in Christus Jezus is.; — Retiens dans la foi et dans la charité qui est en Jésus Christ le modèle des saines paroles que tu as reçues de moi.
Timothy II 1:14: ^A þata godo anafilh fastai þairh ahman weihana saei bauiþ in uns.; ^B þata godo anafilh fastai þairh ahman weihana saei bauiþ in uns.; — τὴν καλὴν παραθήκην φύλαξον διὰ πνεύματος ἁγίου τοῦ ἐνοικοῦντος ἐν ἡμῖν.; — Bonum depositum custodi per Spiritum Sanctum, qui habitat in nobis.; — That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.; — Bewaar het goede pand, dat u toebetrouwd is, door den Heiligen Geest, Die in ons woont.; — Garde le bon dépôt, par le Saint Esprit qui habite en nous.
Timothy II 1:15: ^A waist þatei afwandidedun sik af mis allai þaiei sind in Asiai, þizeei ist Fwgailus jah Hairmaugaineis.; ^B waist þatei afwandidedun sik af mis allai þaiei sind in Asiai, þizei ist Fwgailus jah Airmogaineis.; — οἶδας τοῦτο, ὅτι ἀπεστράφησάν με πάντες οἱ ἐν τῇ ἀσίᾳ, ὧν ἐστιν φύγελος καὶ ἑρμογένης.; — Scis hoc, quod aversi sunt a me omnes, qui in Asia sunt, ex quibus est Phigellus, et Hermogenes.; — This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.; — Gij weet dit, dat allen, die in Azie zijn, zich van mij afgewend hebben; onder dewelke is Fygellus en Hermogenes.; — Tu sais que tous ceux qui sont en Asie m'ont abandonné, entre autres Phygelle et Hermogène.
Timothy II 1:16: ^{A + B} gibai armaion frauja Auneiseifauraus garda, unte ufta mik anaþrafstida jah naudibandjo meinaizo ni skamaida sik;; — δῴη ἔλεος ὁ κύριος τῷ ὀνησιφόρου οἴκῳ, ὅτι πολλάκις με ἀνέψυξεν καὶ τὴν ἅλυσίν μου οὐκ ἐπαισχύνθη,; — Det misericordiam Dominus Onesiphori domui : quia sæpe me refrigeravit, et catenam meam non erubuit :; — The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:; — De Heere geve den huize van Onesiforus barmhartigheid; want hij heeft mij dikmaals verkwikt, en heeft zich mijner keten niet geschaamd.; — Que le Seigneur répande sa miséricorde sur la maison d'Onésiphore, car il m'a souvent consolé, et il n'a pas eu honte de mes chaînes;
Timothy II 1:17: ^{A + B} ak qimands in Rumai usdaudo sokida mik jah bigat.; — ἀλλὰ γενόμενος ἐν ῥώμῃ σπουδαίως ἐζήτησέν με καὶ εὗρεν; — sed cum Romam venisset, sollicite me quæsivit, et invenit.; — But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.; — Maar als hij te Rome gekomen was, heeft hij mij zeer naarstiglijk gezocht, en heeft mij gevonden.; — au contraire, lorsqu'il est venu à Rome, il m'a cherché avec beaucoup d'empressement, et il m'a trouvé.
Timothy II 1:18: ^{A + B} gibai frauja imma bigitan armahairtein at fraujin in jainamma daga; jah ƕan filu [mais] in Aifaison andbahtida mis, waila þu kant.; — – δῴη αὐτῷ ὁ κύριος εὑρεῖν ἔλεος παρὰ κυρίου ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ – καὶ ὅσα ἐν ἐφέσῳ διηκόνησεν, βέλτιον σὺ γινώσκεις.; — Det illi Dominus invenire misericordiam a Domino in illa die. Et quanta Ephesi ministravit mihi, tu melius nosti.; — The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.; — De Heere geve hem, dat hij barmhartigheid vinde bij den Heere, in dien dag; en hoeveel hij mij te Efeze gediend heeft, weet gij zeer wel.; — Que le Seigneur lui donne d'obtenir miséricorde auprès du Seigneur en ce jour-là. Tu sais mieux que personne combien de services il m'a rendus à Éphèse.
