Corinthians I chapter 12

Corinthians I 12:10

^A .... sumammuh skeireins razdo.

— ἄλλῳ δὲ ἐνεργήματα δυνάμεων, ἄλλῳ [δὲ] προφητεία, ἄλλῳ [δὲ] διακρίσεις πνευμάτων, ἑτέρῳ γένη γλωσσῶν, ἄλλῳ δὲ ἑρμηνεία γλωσσῶν:

— alii operatio virtutum, alii prophetia, alii discretio spirituum, alii genera linguarum, alii interpretatio sermonum.

— To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

— En een ander de werkingen der krachten; en een ander profetie; en een ander onderscheidingen der geesten; en een ander menigerlei talen; en een ander uitlegging der talen.

— à un autre, le don d'opérer des miracles; à un autre, la prophétie; à un autre, le discernement des esprits; à un autre, la diversité des langues; à un autre, l'interprétation des langues.

Corinthians I 12:11

^A þatuþ~þan all waurkeiþ ains jah sa sama ahma, daileiþ sundro ƕarjammeh swaswe wili.

— πάντα δὲ ταῦτα ἐνεργεῖ τὸ ἓν καὶ τὸ αὐτὸ πνεῦμα, διαιροῦν ἰδίᾳ ἑκάστῳ καθὼς βούλεται.

— Hæc autem omnia operantur unus atque idem Spiritus, dividens singulis prout vult.

— But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

— Doch deze dingen alle werkt een en dezelfde Geest, delende aan een iegelijk in het bijzonder, gelijkerwijs Hij wil.

— Un seul et même Esprit opère toutes ces choses, les distribuant à chacun en particulier comme il veut.

Corinthians I 12:12

^A swe leik raihtis ain ist, iþ liþuns habaiþ managans, þaiþ~þan liþjus allai us leika þamma ainamma, managai wisandans, ain ist leik, swa jah Xristus.

— καθάπερ γὰρ τὸ σῶμα ἕν ἐστιν καὶ μέλη πολλὰ ἔχει, πάντα δὲ τὰ μέλη τοῦ σώματος πολλὰ ὄντα ἕν ἐστιν σῶμα, οὕτως καὶ ὁ χριστός:

— Sicut enim corpus unum est, et membra habet multa, omnia autem membra corporis cum sint multa, unum tamen corpus sunt : ita et Christus.

— For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

— Want gelijk het lichaam een is, en vele leden heeft, en al de leden van dit ene lichaam, vele zijnde, maar een lichaam zijn, alzo ook Christus.

— Car, comme le corps est un et a plusieurs membres, et comme tous les membres du corps, malgré leur nombre, ne forment qu'un seul corps, ainsi en est-il de Christ.

Corinthians I 12:13

^A jah auk in ainamma ahmin weis allai du ainamma leika daupidai sium, jaþþe Judaieis jaþþe þiudos, jaþþe skalkos jaþþe frijai, jah allai ainamma ahmin dragkidai sijum.

— καὶ γὰρ ἐν ἑνὶ πνεύματι ἡμεῖς πάντες εἰς ἓν σῶμα ἐβαπτίσθημεν, εἴτε ἰουδαῖοι εἴτε ἕλληνες, εἴτε δοῦλοι εἴτε ἐλεύθεροι, καὶ πάντες ἓν πνεῦμα ἐποτίσθημεν.

— Etenim in uno Spiritu omnes nos in unum corpus baptizati sumus, sive Judæi, sive gentiles, sive servi, sive liberi : et omnes in uno Spiritu potati sumus.

— For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

— Want ook wij allen zijn door een Geest tot een lichaam gedoopt; hetzij Joden, hetzij Grieken, hetzij dienstknechten, hetzij vrijen; en wij zijn allen tot een Geest gedrenkt.

— Nous avons tous, en effet, été baptisés dans un seul Esprit, pour former un seul corps, soit Juifs, soit Grecs, soit esclaves, soit libres, et nous avons tous été abreuvés d'un seul Esprit.

Corinthians I 12:14

^A jaþ~þan leik nist ains liþus, ak managai.

— καὶ γὰρ τὸ σῶμα οὐκ ἔστιν ἓν μέλος ἀλλὰ πολλά.

— Nam et corpus non est unum membrum, sed multa.

— For the body is not one member, but many.

— Want ook het lichaam is niet een lid, maar vele leden.

— Ainsi le corps n'est pas un seul membre, mais il est formé de plusieurs membres.

Corinthians I 12:15

^A jabai qiþai fotus þatei ni im handus, ni im þis leikis, nih at þamma leika; nist us þamma leika?

— ἐὰν εἴπῃ ὁ πούς, ὅτι οὐκ εἰμὶ χείρ, οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐκ τοῦ σώματος, οὐ παρὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ σώματος:

— Si dixerit pes : Quoniam non sum manus, non sum de corpore : num ideo non est de corpore ?

— If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

— Indien de voet zeide: Dewijl ik de hand niet ben, zo ben ik van het lichaam niet; is hij daarom niet van het lichaam?

— Si le pied disait: Parce que je ne suis pas une main, je ne suis pas du corps-ne serait-il pas du corps pour cela?

Corinthians I 12:16

^A jabai qiþai auso þatei ni im augo, ni im þis leikis, ni at þamma leika; nist us þamma leika?

— καὶ ἐὰν εἴπῃ τὸ οὖς, ὅτι οὐκ εἰμὶ ὀφθαλμός, οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐκ τοῦ σώματος, οὐ παρὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ σώματος:

— Et si dixerit auris : Quoniam non sum oculus, non sum de corpore : num ideo est de corpore ?

— And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

— En indien het oor zeide: Dewijl ik het oog niet ben, zo ben ik van het lichaam niet; is het daarom niet van het lichaam?

— Et si l'oreille disait: Parce que je ne suis pas un oeil, je ne suis pas du corps, -ne serait-elle pas du corps pour cela?

Corinthians I 12:17

^A jabai all leik augo, ƕar hliuma? jabai all hliuma, ƕar dauns?

— εἰ ὅλον τὸ σῶμα ὀφθαλμός, ποῦ ἡ ἀκοή; εἰ ὅλον ἀκοή, ποῦ ἡ ὄσφρησις;

— Si totum corpus oculus : ubi auditus ? Si totum auditus : ubi odoratus ?

— If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

— Ware het gehele lichaam het oog, waar zou het gehoor zijn? Ware het gehele lichaam gehoor, waar zou de reuk zijn?

— Si tout le corps était oeil, où serait l'ouïe? S'il était tout ouïe, où serait l'odorat?

Corinthians I 12:18

^A iþ nu guþ gasatida liþuns ainƕarjanoh ize in leika, swaswe wilda.

— νυνὶ δὲ ὁ θεὸς ἔθετο τὰ μέλη, ἓν ἕκαστον αὐτῶν, ἐν τῷ σώματι καθὼς ἠθέλησεν.

— Nunc autem posuit Deus membra, unumquodque eorum in corpore sicut voluit.

— But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

— Maar nu heeft God de leden gezet, een iegelijk van dezelve in het lichaam, gelijk Hij gewild heeft.

— Maintenant Dieu a placé chacun des membres dans le corps comme il a voulu.

Corinthians I 12:19

^A iþ weseina þo alla ains liþus, ƕar leik?

— εἰ δὲ ἦν τὰ πάντα ἓν μέλος, ποῦ τὸ σῶμα;

— Quod si essent omnia unum membrum, ubi corpus ?

— And if they were all one member, where were the body?

— Waren zij alle maar een lid, waar zou het lichaam zijn?

— Si tous étaient un seul membre, où serait le corps?

Corinthians I 12:20

^A iþ nu managai liþjus, iþ ain leik.

— νῦν δὲ πολλὰ μὲν μέλη, ἓν δὲ σῶμα.

— Nunc autem multa quidem membra, unum autem corpus.

— But now are they many members, yet but one body.

— Maar nu zijn er wel vele leden, doch maar een lichaam.

— Maintenant donc il y a plusieurs membres, et un seul corps.

Corinthians I 12:21

^A niþ~þan mag augo qiþan du handau: þeina ni þarf, aiþþau aftra haubiþ du fotum: iggqara ni þarf;

— οὐ δύναται δὲ ὁ ὀφθαλμὸς εἰπεῖν τῇ χειρί, χρείαν σου οὐκ ἔχω, ἢ πάλιν ἡ κεφαλὴ τοῖς ποσίν, χρείαν ὑμῶν οὐκ ἔχω:

— Non potest autem oculus dicere manui : Opera tua non indigeo : aut iterum caput pedibus : Non estis mihi necessarii.

— And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

— En het oog kan niet zeggen tot de hand: Ik heb u niet van node; of wederom het hoofd tot de voeten: Ik heb u niet van node.

— L'oeil ne peut pas dire à la main: Je n'ai pas besoin de toi; ni la tête dire aux pieds: Je n'ai pas besoin de vous.

Corinthians I 12:22

^A ak filu mais þaiei þugkjand liþiwe leikis lasiwostai wisan, þaurftai sind ....

— ἀλλὰ πολλῷ μᾶλλον τὰ δοκοῦντα μέλη τοῦ σώματος ἀσθενέστερα ὑπάρχειν ἀναγκαῖά ἐστιν,

— Sed multo magis quæ videntur membra corporis infirmiora esse, necessariora sunt :

— Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

— Ja veeleer, de leden, die ons dunken de zwakste des lichaams te zijn, die zijn nodig.

— Mais bien plutôt, les membres du corps qui paraissent être les plus faibles sont nécessaires;
