Galatians chapter 5

Galatians 5:1: ^B Þammei freihalsa uns Xristus frijans brahta standaiþ nu <jah> ni aftra skalkinassaus jukuzja usþulaiþ.; — τῇ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἡμᾶς χριστὸς ἠλευθέρωσεν: στήκετε οὖν καὶ μὴ πάλιν ζυγῷ δουλείας ἐνέχεσθε.; — Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:2: ^B sai, ik Pawlus qiþa izwis þatei jabai bimaitiþ, Xristus izwis nist du botai.; — ἴδε ἐγὼ παῦλος λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐὰν περιτέμνησθε χριστὸς ὑμᾶς οὐδὲν ὠφελήσει.; — Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Galatians 5:3: ^B aþþan weitwodja ƕamme<h> manne bimaitanaize, þatei skula ist all witoþ taujan.; — μαρτύρομαι δὲ πάλιν παντὶ ἀνθρώπῳ περιτεμνομένῳ ὅτι ὀφειλέτης ἐστὶν ὅλον τὸν νόμον ποιῆσαι.; — For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Galatians 5:4: ^B lausai sijuþ af Xristau, juzei in witoda garaihtans qiþiþ izwis; us anstai usdrusuþ;; — κατηργήθητε ἀπὸ χριστοῦ οἵτινες ἐν νόμῳ δικαιοῦσθε, τῆς χάριτος ἐξεπέσατε.; — Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Galatians 5:5: ^B aþþan weis ahmin us galaubeinai wenais garaihteins beidam;; — ἡμεῖς γὰρ πνεύματι ἐκ πίστεως ἐλπίδα δικαιοσύνης ἀπεκδεχόμεθα.; — For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Galatians 5:6: ^B unte in Xristu Iesu nih bimait waiht gamag nih faurafilli, ak galaubeins þairh friaþwa waurstweiga.; — ἐν γὰρ χριστῷ ἰησοῦ οὔτε περιτομή τι ἰσχύει οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ πίστις δι' ἀγάπης ἐνεργουμένη.; — For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:7: ^B runnuþ waila; ƕas izwis galatida sunjai ni ufhausjan?; — ἐτρέχετε καλῶς: τίς ὑμᾶς ἐνέκοψεν [τῇ] ἀληθείᾳ μὴ πείθεσθαι;; — Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Galatians 5:8: ^B so gakunds ni us þamma laþondin izwis ist.; — ἡ πεισμονὴ οὐκ ἐκ τοῦ καλοῦντος ὑμᾶς.; — This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
Galatians 5:9: ^B leitil bei<s>tis allana daig distairiþ.; — μικρὰ ζύμη ὅλον τὸ φύραμα ζυμοῖ.; — A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
Galatians 5:10: ^B ik gatraua in izwis in fraujin þatei ni waiht aljis hugjiþ; aþþan sa drobjands izwis sa bairai þo wargiþa, saƕazuh saei sijai.; — ἐγὼ πέποιθα εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν κυρίῳ ὅτι οὐδὲν ἄλλο φρονήσετε: ὁ δὲ ταράσσων ὑμᾶς βαστάσει τὸ κρίμα, ὅστις ἐὰν ᾖ.; — I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
Galatians 5:11: ^B aþþan ik, broþrjus, jabai bimait merjau, duƕe þanamais wrikada? þannu gatauran ist marzeins galgins.; — ἐγὼ δέ, ἀδελφοί, εἰ περιτομὴν ἔτι κηρύσσω, τί ἔτι διώκομαι; ἄρα κατήργηται τὸ σκάνδαλον τοῦ σταυροῦ.; — And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
Galatians 5:12: ^B wainei jah usmaitaindau þai drobjandans izwis.; — ὄφελον καὶ ἀποκόψονται οἱ ἀναστατοῦντες ὑμᾶς.; — I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
Galatians 5:13: ^B jus auk du freihalsa laþodai sijuþ, broþrjus; þatainei ibai þana freihals du lewa leikis taujaiþ, ak in friaþwos ahmins skalkinoþ izwis misso.; — ὑμεῖς γὰρ ἐπ' ἐλευθερίᾳ ἐκλήθητε, ἀδελφοί: μόνον μὴ τὴν ἐλευθερίαν εἰς ἀφορμὴν τῇ σαρκί, ἀλλὰ διὰ τῆς ἀγάπης δουλεύετε ἀλλήλοις.; — For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:14: ^B unte all witoþ in izwis in ainamma waurda usfulljada, in þamma: frijos neƕundjan þeinana swe þuk silban.; — ὁ γὰρ πᾶς νόμος ἐν ἑνὶ λόγῳ πεπλήρωται, ἐν τῷ ἀγαπήσεις τὸν πλησίον σου ὡς σεαυτόν.; — For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Galatians 5:15: ^B iþ jabai izwis misso beitiþ jah fair[r]inoþ, saiƕiþ, ibai fram izwis misso fraqimaindau.; — εἰ δὲ ἀλλήλους δάκνετε καὶ κατεσθίετε, βλέπετε μὴ ὑπ' ἀλλήλων ἀναλωθῆτε.; — But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Galatians 5:16: ^B aþþan qiþa ei ahmin gaggaiþ jah lustu leikis ni ustiuhaiþ.; — λέγω δέ, πνεύματι περιπατεῖτε καὶ ἐπιθυμίαν σαρκὸς οὐ μὴ τελέσητε.; — This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:17: ^A .... iþ ahma wiþra leik, þo nu sis misso andstandand, ei ni þisƕah þatei wileiþ, þata taujiþ.; ^B unte leik gairneiþ wiþra ahman, iþ ahma wiþra leik, þo nu sis misso andstandand, ei ni þisƕah þatei wileiþ, þata taujaiþ.; — ἡ γὰρ σὰρξ ἐπιθυμεῖ κατὰ τοῦ πνεύματος, τὸ δὲ πνεῦμα κατὰ τῆς σαρκός: ταῦτα γὰρ ἀλλήλοις ἀντίκειται, ἵνα μὴ ἃ ἐὰν θέλητε ταῦτα ποιῆτε.; — For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5:18: ^{A + B} aþþan jabai ahmin tiuhanda, ni sijuþ uf witoda.; — εἰ δὲ πνεύματι ἄγεσθε, οὐκ ἐστὲ ὑπὸ νόμον.; — But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Galatians 5:19: ^A aþþan swikunþa sind waurstwa leikis, þatei ist: horinassus, kalkinassus, unhrainiþa, aglaitei,; ^B aþþan swikunþa sind waurstwa leikis, þatei ist: horinassus, kalkinassus, unhrainiþa, aglaitei,; — φανερὰ δέ ἐστιν τὰ ἔργα τῆς σαρκός, ἅτινά ἐστιν πορνεία, ἀκαθαρσία, ἀσέλγεια,; — Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Galatians 5:20: ^A galiugagude skalkinassus, lubjaleisei, fiaþwos, haifsteis, aljan, hatiza, jiukos, twistasseis, [birodeinos] hairaiseis,; ^B galiugagude skalkinassus, lubjaleisei, fiaþwos, haifsteis, aljan, hatiza, jiukos, twisstasseis, [birodeinos] hairaiseis,; — εἰδωλολατρία, φαρμακεία, ἔχθραι, ἔρις, ζῆλος, θυμοί, ἐριθείαι, διχοστασίαι, αἱρέσεις,; — Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Galatians 5:21: ^A neiþa, maurþra, drugkaneins, gabauros jah þata galeiko þaim, þatei faur<a>qiþa izwis, swe ju fauraqaþ, þatei þai þata swaleik taujandans þiudangardjos gudis arbjans ni wairþand.; ^B neiþa, maurþra, drugkaneins, gabauros jah þata galeiko þaim, þatei faur<a>qiþa izwis, swe ju fauraqaþ, þatei þai þata swaleik [ta]taujandans þiudangardjos gudis arbjans ni wairþand.; — φθόνοι, μέθαι, κῶμοι, καὶ τὰ ὅμοια τούτοις, ἃ προλέγω ὑμῖν καθὼς προεῖπον ὅτι οἱ τὰ τοιαῦτα πράσσοντες βασιλείαν θεοῦ οὐ κληρονομήσουσιν.; — Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22: ^A iþ akran ahmins ist frijaþwa, faheþs, gawairþi, usbeisnei, selei, bleiþei, galaubeins,; ^B iþ akran ahmins ist friaþwa, faheds, gawairþi, usbeisnei, selei, bleiþei, galaubeins,; — ὁ δὲ καρπὸς τοῦ πνεύματός ἐστιν ἀγάπη, χαρά, εἰρήνη, μακροθυμία, χρηστότης, ἀγαθωσύνη, πίστις,; — But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:23: ^{A + B} qairrei, gahobains, swiknei; wiþra þo swaleika nist witoþ.; — πραΰτης, ἐγκράτεια: κατὰ τῶν τοιούτων οὐκ ἔστιν νόμος.; — Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:24: ^{A + B} iþ þaiei sind Xristaus, leik sein ushramidedun miþ winnom jah lustum.; — οἱ δὲ τοῦ χριστοῦ [ἰησοῦ] τὴν σάρκα ἐσταύρωσαν σὺν τοῖς παθήμασιν καὶ ταῖς ἐπιθυμίαις.; — And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Galatians 5:25: ^A jabai libam ahmin, ahmin jah gaggam.; ^B jabai libam ahmin, ahmin jah gaggam.; — εἰ ζῶμεν πνεύματι, πνεύματι καὶ στοιχῶμεν.; — If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:26: ^A ni wairþaima flautai, uns misso ushaitandans, misso in neiþa wisandans.; ^B ni wairþaima flautai, uns misso ushaitandans, misso in neiþa wisandans.; — μὴ γινώμεθα κενόδοξοι, ἀλλήλους προκαλούμενοι, ἀλλήλοις φθονοῦντες.; — Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
