Mark chapter 11

Mark 11:1

^CA Jah biþe neƕa wesun Iairusalem, in Beþsfagein jah Biþaniin at fairgunja alewjin, insandida twans siponje seinaize

— καὶ ὅτε ἐγγίζουσιν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς βηθφαγὴ καὶ βηθανίαν πρὸς τὸ ὄρος τῶν ἐλαιῶν, ἀποστέλλει δύο τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ

— Et cum appropinquarent Jerosolymæ et Bethaniæ ad montem Olivarum, mittit duos ex discipulis suis,

— And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

— En toen zij Jeruzalem genaakten, te Beth-fage en Bethanie, aan den Olijfberg, zond Hij twee van Zijn discipelen uit,

— Lorsqu'ils approchèrent de Jérusalem, et qu'ils furent près de Bethphagé et de Béthanie, vers la montagne des oliviers, Jésus envoya deux de ses disciples,

Mark 11:2

^CA jah qaþ du im: gaggats in haim þo wiþrawairþon iggqis, jah sunsaiw inngaggandans in þo [baurg] bigitats fulan gabundanana, ana þammei nauh ainshun manne ni sat; andbindandans ina attiuhats.

— καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν κατέναντι ὑμῶν, καὶ εὐθὺς εἰσπορευόμενοι εἰς αὐτὴν εὑρήσετε πῶλον δεδεμένον ἐφ' ὃν οὐδεὶς οὔπω ἀνθρώπων ἐκάθισεν: λύσατε αὐτὸν καὶ φέρετε.

— et ait illis : Ite in castellum, quod contra vos est, et statim introëuntes illuc, invenietis pullum ligatum, super quem nemo adhuc hominum sedit : solvite illum, et adducite.

— And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

— En zeide tot hen: Gaat heen in het vlek, dat tegen u over is; en terstond als gij in hetzelve komt, zult gij vinden een veulen gebonden, op hetwelk geen mens gezeten heeft, ontbindt het, en brengt het.

— en leur disant: Allez au village qui est devant vous; dès que vous y serez entrés, vous trouverez un ânon attaché, sur lequel aucun homme ne s'est encore assis; détachez-le, et amenez-le.

Mark 11:3

^CA jah jabai ƕas iggqis qiþai: duƕe þata taujats? qiþaits: þatei frauja þis gairneiþ; jah sunsaiw ina insandeiþ hidre.

— καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ, τί ποιεῖτε τοῦτο; εἴπατε, ὁ κύριος αὐτοῦ χρείαν ἔχει, καὶ εὐθὺς αὐτὸν ἀποστέλλει πάλιν ὧδε.

— Et si quis vobis dixerit : Quid facitis ? dicite, quia Domino necessarius est : et continuo illum dimittet huc.

— And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

— En indien iemand tot u zegt: Waarom doet gij dat? Zo zegt, dat de Heere hetzelve van node heeft; en hij zal het terstond herwaarts zenden.

— Si quelqu'un vous dit: Pourquoi faites-vous cela? répondez: Le Seigneur en a besoin. Et à l'instant il le laissera venir ici.

Mark 11:4

^CA galiþun þan jah bigetun fulan gabundanana at daura uta ana gagga; jah andbundun ina.

— καὶ ἀπῆλθον καὶ εὗρον πῶλον δεδεμένον πρὸς θύραν ἔξω ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου, καὶ λύουσιν αὐτόν.

— Et abeuntes invenerunt pullum ligatum ante januam foris in bivio : et solvunt eum.

— And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

— En zij gingen heen, en vonden het veulen gebonden bij de deur, buiten aan de wegscheiding, en zij ontbonden hetzelve.

— les disciples, étant allés, trouvèrent l'ânon attaché dehors près d'une porte, au contour du chemin, et ils le détachèrent.

Mark 11:5

^CA jah sumai þize jainar standandane qeþun du im: ƕa taujats andbindandans þana fulan?

— καί τινες τῶν ἐκεῖ ἑστηκότων ἔλεγον αὐτοῖς, τί ποιεῖτε λύοντες τὸν πῶλον;

— Et quidam de illic stantibus dicebant illis : Quid facitis solventes pullum ?

— And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?

— En sommigen van degenen, die aldaar stonden, zeiden tot hen: Wat doet gij, dat gij het veulen ontbindt?

— Quelques-uns de ceux qui étaient là leur dirent: Que faites-vous? pourquoi détachez-vous cet ânon?

Mark 11:6

^CA iþ eis qeþun du im swaswe anabauþ im Iesus, jah lailotun ins.

— οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτοῖς καθὼς εἶπεν ὁ ἰησοῦς: καὶ ἀφῆκαν αὐτούς.

— Qui dixerunt eis sicut præceperat illis Jesus, et dimiserunt eis.

— And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

— Doch zij zeiden tot hen, gelijk Jezus bevolen had; en zij lieten hen gaan.

— Ils répondirent comme Jésus l'avait dit. Et on les laissa aller.

Mark 11:7

^CA jah brahtedun þana fulan at Iesua jah galagidedun ana <ina> wastjos seinos, jah gasat ana ina.

— καὶ φέρουσιν τὸν πῶλον πρὸς τὸν ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐπιβάλλουσιν αὐτῷ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπ' αὐτόν.

— Et duxerunt pullum ad Jesum : et imponunt illi vestimenta sua, et sedit super eum.

— And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

— En zij brachten het veulen tot Jezus, en wierpen hun klederen daarop; en Hij zat op hetzelve.

— Ils amenèrent à Jésus l'ânon, sur lequel ils jetèrent leurs vêtements, et Jésus s'assit dessus.

Mark 11:8

^CA managai þan wastjom seinaim strawidedun ana wiga; sumai astans maimaitun us bagmam jah strawidedun ana wiga.

— καὶ πολλοὶ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶν ἔστρωσαν εἰς τὴν ὁδόν, ἄλλοι δὲ στιβάδας κόψαντες ἐκ τῶν ἀγρῶν.

— Multi autem vestimenta sua straverunt in via : alii autem frondes cædebant de arboribus, et sternebant in via.

— And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

— En velen spreidden hun klederen op den weg, en anderen hieuwen meien van de bomen, en spreidden ze op den weg.

— Beaucoup de gens étendirent leurs vêtements sur le chemin, et d'autres des branches qu'ils coupèrent dans les champs.

Mark 11:9

^CA jah þai fauragaggandans <jah þai afarlaistjandans> hropidedun qiþandans: osanna, þiuþida sa qimanda in namin fraujins!

— καὶ οἱ προάγοντες καὶ οἱ ἀκολουθοῦντες ἔκραζον, ὡσαννά: εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου:

— Et qui præibant, et qui sequebantur, clamabant, dicentes : Hosanna : benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini :

— And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:

— En die voorgingen en die volgden riepen, zeggende: Hosanna, gezegend is Hij, Die komt in den Naam des Heeren!

— Ceux qui précédaient et ceux qui suivaient Jésus criaient: Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur!

Mark 11:10

^CA þiuþido so qimandei þiudangardi in namin <fraujins> attins unsaris Daweidis, osanna in hauhistjam!

— εὐλογημένη ἡ ἐρχομένη βασιλεία τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν δαυίδ: ὡσαννὰ ἐν τοῖς ὑψίστοις.

— benedictum quod venit regnum patris nostri David : hosanna in excelsis.

— Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

— Gezegend zij het Koninkrijk van onzen vader David, hetwelk komt in den Naam des Heeren! Hosanna in de hoogste hemelen!

— Béni soit le règne qui vient, le règne de David, notre père! Hosanna dans les lieux très hauts!

Mark 11:11

^CA jah galaiþ in Iairusaulwma Iesus jah in alh; jah bisaiƕands alla, at andanahtja juþan wisandin ƕeilai usiddja in Beþanian miþ þaim twalibim.

— καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα εἰς τὸ ἱερόν: καὶ περιβλεψάμενος πάντα, ὀψίας ἤδη οὔσης τῆς ὥρας, ἐξῆλθεν εἰς βηθανίαν μετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.

— Et introivit Jerosolymam in templum : et circumspectis omnibus, cum jam vespera esset hora, exiit in Bethaniam cum duodecim.

— And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

— En Jezus kwam binnen Jeruzalem, en in den tempel; en als Hij alles rondom bezien had, en het nu avondstond was, ging Hij uit naar Bethanie met de twaalven.

— Jésus entra à Jérusalem, dans le temple. Quand il eut tout considéré, comme il était déjà tard, il s'en alla à Béthanie avec les douze.

Mark 11:12

^CA jah iftumin daga usstandandam im us Beþaniin gredags was.

— καὶ τῇ ἐπαύριον ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ἀπὸ βηθανίας ἐπείνασεν.

— Et alia die cum exirent a Bethania, esuriit.

— And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

— En des anderen daags, als zij uit Bethanie gingen, hongerde Hem.

— Le lendemain, après qu'ils furent sortis de Béthanie, Jésus eut faim.

Mark 11:13

^CA jah gasaiƕands smakkabagm fairraþro habandan lauf atiddja, ei aufto bigeti ƕa ana imma; jah qimands at imma ni waiht bigat ana imma niba lauf; ni auk was mel smakkane.

— καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔχουσαν φύλλα ἦλθεν εἰ ἄρα τι εὑρήσει ἐν αὐτῇ, καὶ ἐλθὼν ἐπ' αὐτὴν οὐδὲν εὗρεν εἰ μὴ φύλλα: ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς οὐκ ἦν σύκων.

— Cumque vidisset a longe ficum habentem folia, venit si quid forte inveniret in ea : et cum venisset ad eam, nihil invenit præter folia : non enim erat tempus ficorum.

— And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

— En ziende van verre een vijgeboom, die bladeren had, ging Hij om te zien, of Hij ook iets op denzelven zou vinden; en daarbij gekomen zijnde, vond Hij niets dan bladeren; want het was de tijd der vijgen niet.

— Apercevant de loin un figuier qui avait des feuilles, il alla voir s'il y trouverait quelque chose; et, s'en étant approché, il ne trouva que des feuilles, car ce n'était pas la saison des figues.

Mark 11:14

^CA jah usbairands qaþ du imma: ni þanaseiþs us þus aiw manna akran matjai. jah gahausidedun þai siponjos is.

— καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτῇ, μηκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ἐκ σοῦ μηδεὶς καρπὸν φάγοι. καὶ ἤκουον οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.

— Et respondens dixit ei : Jam non amplius in æternum ex te fructum quisquam manducet. Et audiebant discipuli ejus.

— And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

— En Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot denzelven: Niemand ete enige vrucht meer van u in der eeuwigheid! En Zijn discipelen hoorden het.

— Prenant alors la parole, il lui dit: Que jamais personne ne mange de ton fruit! Et ses disciples l'entendirent.

Mark 11:15

^CA jah iddjedun du Iairusaulwmai. jah atgaggands Iesus in alh dugann uswairpan þans frabugjandans jah bugjandans in alh jah mesa skattjane jah sitlans þize frabugjandane ahakim uswaltida.

— καὶ ἔρχονται εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν ἤρξατο ἐκβάλλειν τοὺς πωλοῦντας καὶ τοὺς ἀγοράζοντας ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ, καὶ τὰς τραπέζας τῶν κολλυβιστῶν καὶ τὰς καθέδρας τῶν πωλούντων τὰς περιστερὰς κατέστρεψεν,

— Et veniunt in Jerosolymam. Et cum introisset in templum, cœpit ejicere vendentes et ementes in templo : et mensas numulariorum, et cathedras vendentium columbas evertit :

— And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

— En zij kwamen te Jeruzalem; en Jezus, in den tempel gegaan zijnde, begon degenen, die in den tempel verkochten en kochten, uit te drijven; en de tafelen der wisselaars, en de zitstoelen dergenen, die de duiven verkochten, keerde Hij om;

— Ils arrivèrent à Jérusalem, et Jésus entra dans le temple. Il se mit à chasser ceux qui vendaient et qui achetaient dans le temple; il renversa les tables des changeurs, et les sièges des vendeurs de pigeons;

Mark 11:16

^CA jah ni lailot ei ƕas þairhberi kas þairh þo alh.

— καὶ οὐκ ἤφιεν ἵνα τις διενέγκῃ σκεῦος διὰ τοῦ ἱεροῦ.

— et non sinebat ut quisquam transferret vas per templum :

— And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

— En liet niet toe, dat iemand enig vat door den tempel droeg.

— et il ne laissait personne transporter aucun objet à travers le temple.

Mark 11:17

^CA jah laisida qiþands du im: niu gameliþ ist þatei razn mein razn bido haitada allaim þiudom? iþ jus gatawideduþ ita du filigrja waidedjane.

— καὶ ἐδίδασκεν καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, οὐ γέγραπται ὅτι ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν; ὑμεῖς δὲ πεποιήκατε αὐτὸν σπήλαιον λῃστῶν.

— et docebat, dicens eis : Nonne scriptum est : Quia domus mea, domus orationis vocabitur omnibus gentibus ? vos autem fecistis eam speluncam latronum.

— And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

— En Hij leerde, zeggende tot hen: Is er niet geschreven: Mijn huis zal een huis des gebeds genaamd worden allen volken? Maar gij hebt dat tot een kuil der moordenaren gemaakt.

— Et il enseignait et disait: N'est-il pas écrit: Ma maison sera appelée une maison de prière pour toutes les nations? Mais vous, vous en avez fait une caverne de voleurs.

Mark 11:18

^CA jah gahausidedun þai bokarjos jah gudjane auhumistans jah sokidedun, ƕaiwa imma usqistidedeina: ohtedun auk ina, unte alla managei sildaleikidedun in laiseinais is.

— καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς, καὶ ἐζήτουν πῶς αὐτὸν ἀπολέσωσιν: ἐφοβοῦντο γὰρ αὐτόν, πᾶς γὰρ ὁ ὄχλος ἐξεπλήσσετο ἐπὶ τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ.

— Quo audito principes sacerdotum et scribæ, quærebant quomodo eum perderent : timebant enim eum, quoniam universa turba admirabatur super doctrina ejus.

— And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

— En de Schriftgeleerden en de overpriesters hoorden dat, en zochten, hoe zij Hem doden zouden; want zij vreesden Hem, omdat de ganse schare ontzet was over Zijn leer.

— Les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes, l'ayant entendu, cherchèrent les moyens de le faire périr; car ils le craignaient, parce que toute la foule était frappée de sa doctrine.

Mark 11:19

^CA jah biþe andanahti warþ, usiddja ut us þizai baurg.

— καὶ ὅταν ὀψὲ ἐγένετο, ἐξεπορεύοντο ἔξω τῆς πόλεως.

— Et cum vespera facta esset, egrediebatur de civitate.

— And when even was come, he went out of the city.

— En als het nu laat geworden was, ging Hij uit buiten de stad.

— Quand le soir fut venu, Jésus sortit de la ville.

Mark 11:20

^CA jah in maurgin faurgaggandans gaseƕun þana smakkabagm þaursjana us waurtim.

— καὶ παραπορευόμενοι πρωῒ εἶδον τὴν συκῆν ἐξηραμμένην ἐκ ῥιζῶν.

— Et cum mane transirent, viderunt ficum aridam factam a radicibus.

— And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.

— En des morgens vroeg voorbijgaande, zagen zij, dat de vijgeboom verdord was, van de wortelen af.

— Le matin, en passant, les disciples virent le figuier séché jusqu'aux racines.

Mark 11:21

^CA jah gamunands Paitrus qaþ du imma: rabbei, sai, smakkabagms þanei fraqast gaþaursnoda.

— καὶ ἀναμνησθεὶς ὁ πέτρος λέγει αὐτῷ, ῥαββί, ἴδε ἡ συκῆ ἣν κατηράσω ἐξήρανται.

— Et recordatus Petrus, dixit ei : Rabbi, ecce ficus, cui maledixisti, aruit.

— And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

— En Petrus, zulks indachtig geworden zijnde, zeide tot Hem: Rabbi, zie, de vijgeboom, dien Gij vervloekt hebt, is verdord.

— Pierre, se rappelant ce qui s'était passé, dit à Jésus: Rabbi, regarde, le figuier que tu as maudit a séché.

Mark 11:22

^CA jah andhafjands Iesus qaþ du im: habaiþ galaubein gudis!

— καὶ ἀποκριθεὶς ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς, ἔχετε πίστιν θεοῦ,

— Et respondens Jesus ait illis : Habete fidem Dei.

— And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

— En Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Hebt geloof op God.

— Jésus prit la parole, et leur dit: Ayez foi en Dieu.

Mark 11:23

^CA amen auk qiþa izwis, þisƕazuh ei qiþai du þamma fairgunja: ushafei þuk jah wairp þus in marein, jah ni tuzwerjai in hairtin seinamma, ak galaubjai þata, ei þatei qiþiþ gagaggiþ, wairþiþ imma þisƕah þei qiþiþ.

— ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὃς ἂν εἴπῃ τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ, ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ μὴ διακριθῇ ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀλλὰ πιστεύῃ ὅτι ὃ λαλεῖ γίνεται, ἔσται αὐτῷ.

— Amen dico vobis, quia quicumque dixerit huic monti : Tollere, et mittere in mare, et non hæsitaverit in corde suo, sed crediderit, quia quodcumque dixerit fiat, fiat ei.

— For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

— Want voorwaar zeg Ik u, dat, zo wie tot dezen berg zal zeggen: Word opgeheven en in de zee geworpen; en niet zal twijfelen in zijn hart, maar zal geloven hetgeen hij zegt, geschieden zal, het zal hem geworden, zo wat hij zegt.

— Je vous le dis en vérité, si quelqu'un dit à cette montagne: Ote-toi de là et jette-toi dans la mer, et s'il ne doute point en son coeur, mais croit que ce qu'il dit arrive, il le verra s'accomplir.

Mark 11:24

^CA duþþe qiþa izwis: allata þisƕah þei bidjandans sokeiþ, galaubeiþ þatei nimiþ, jah wairþiþ izwis.

— διὰ τοῦτο λέγω ὑμῖν, πάντα ὅσα προσεύχεσθε καὶ αἰτεῖσθε, πιστεύετε ὅτι ἐλάβετε, καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν.

— Propterea dico vobis, omnia quæcumque orantes petitis, credite quia accipietis, et evenient vobis.

— Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

— Daarom zeg Ik u: Alle dingen, die gij biddende begeert, gelooft, dat gij ze ontvangen zult, en zij zullen u geworden.

— C'est pourquoi je vous dis: Tout ce que vous demanderez en priant, croyez que vous l'avez reçu, et vous le verrez s'accomplir.

Mark 11:25

^CA jah þan standaiþ bidjandans, afletaiþ, jabai ƕa habaiþ wiþra ƕana, ei jah atta izwar sa in himinam afletai izwis missadedins izwaros.

— καὶ ὅταν στήκετε προσευχόμενοι, ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος, ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν.

— Et cum stabitis ad orandum, dimittite si quis habetis adversus aliquem : ut et Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittat vobis peccata vestra.

— And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

— En wanneer gij staat om te bidden, vergeeft, indien gij iets hebt tegen iemand; opdat ook uw Vader, Die in de hemelen is, ulieden uw misdaden vergeve.

— Et, lorsque vous êtes debout faisant votre prière, si vous avez quelque chose contre quelqu'un, pardonnez, afin que votre Père qui est dans les cieux vous pardonne aussi vos offenses.

Mark 11:26

^CA iþ jabai jus ni afletiþ, ni þau atta izwar sa in himinam afletiþ izwis missadedins izwaros.

— Quod si vos non dimiseritis : nec Pater vester, qui in cælis est, dimittet vobis peccata vestra.

— But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

— Maar indien gij niet vergeeft, zo zal uw Vader, Die in de hemelen is, ook uw misdaden niet vergeven.

— Mais si vous ne pardonnez pas, votre Père qui est dans les cieux ne vous pardonnera pas non plus vos offenses.

Mark 11:27

^CA jah iddjedun aftra du Iairusaulwmai. jah in alh ƕarbondin imma, atiddjedun du imma þai auhumistans gudjans jah bokarjos jah sinistans.

— καὶ ἔρχονται πάλιν εἰς ἱεροσόλυμα. καὶ ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ περιπατοῦντος αὐτοῦ ἔρχονται πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι

— Et veniunt rursus Jerosolymam. Et cum ambularet in templo, accedunt ad eum summi sacerdotes, et scribæ, et seniores :

— And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

— En zij kwamen wederom te Jeruzalem. En als Hij in den tempel wandelde, kwamen tot Hem de overpriesters, en de schriftgeleerden, en de ouderlingen.

— Ils se rendirent de nouveau à Jérusalem, et, pendant que Jésus se promenait dans le temple, les principaux sacrificateurs, les scribes et les anciens, vinrent à lui,

Mark 11:28

^CA jah qeþun du imma: in ƕamma waldufnje þata taujis? jah ƕas þus þata waldufni atgaf, ei þata taujis?

— καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ, ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς; ἢ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην ἵνα ταῦτα ποιῇς;

— et dicunt ei : In qua potestate hæc facis ? et quis dedit tibi hanc potestatem ut ista facias ?

— And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

— En zeiden tot Hem: Door wat macht doet Gij deze dingen? En wie heeft U deze macht gegeven, dat Gij deze dingen doen zoudt?

— et lui dirent: Par quelle autorité fais-tu ces choses, et qui t'a donné l'autorité de les faire?

Mark 11:29

^CA iþ Iesus andhafjands qaþ du im: fraihna jah ik izwis ainis waurdis jah andhafjiþ mis, jah qiþa izwis in ƕamma waldufnje þata tauja.

— ὁ δὲ ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, ἐπερωτήσω ὑμᾶς ἕνα λόγον, καὶ ἀποκρίθητέ μοι, καὶ ἐρῶ ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ:

— Jesus autem respondens, ait illis : Interrogabo vos et ego unum verbum, et respondete mihi : et dicam vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam.

— And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

— Maar Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Ik zal u ook een woord vragen; antwoordt Mij ook, en zo zal Ik u zeggen, door wat macht Ik deze dingen doe:

— Jésus leur répondit: Je vous adresserai aussi une question; répondez-moi, et je vous dirai par quelle autorité je fais ces choses.

Mark 11:30

^CA daupeins Iohannis uzuh himina was þau uzuh mannam? andhafjiþ mis.

— τὸ βάπτισμα τὸ ἰωάννου ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἦν ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; ἀποκρίθητέ μοι.

— Baptismus Joannis, de cælo erat, an ex hominibus ? Respondete mihi.

— The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

— De doop van Johannes, was die uit den hemel, of uit de mensen? Antwoordt Mij.

— Le baptême de Jean venait-il du ciel, ou des hommes? Répondez-moi.

Mark 11:31

^CA jah þahtedun du sis misso qiþandans, jabai qiþam: us himina, qiþiþ: aþþan duƕe ni galaubideduþ imma?

— καὶ διελογίζοντο πρὸς ἑαυτοὺς λέγοντες, ἐὰν εἴπωμεν, ἐξ οὐρανοῦ, ἐρεῖ, διὰ τί [οὖν] οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ;

— At illi cogitabant secum, dicentes : Si dixerimus : De cælo, dicet : Quare non credidistis ei ?

— And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

— En zij overlegden onder zich, zeggende: Indien wij zeggen: Uit den hemel, zo zal Hij zeggen: Waarom hebt gij hem dan niet geloofd?

— Mais ils raisonnèrent ainsi entre eux: Si nous répondons: Du ciel, il dira: Pourquoi donc n'avez-vous pas cru en lui?

Mark 11:32

^CA ak qiþam: us mannam, uhtedun þo managein. allai auk alakjo habaidedun Iohannen þatei bi sunjai praufetes was.

— ἀλλὰ εἴπωμεν, ἐξ ἀνθρώπων; – ἐφοβοῦντο τὸν ὄχλον, ἅπαντες γὰρ εἶχον τὸν ἰωάννην ὄντως ὅτι προφήτης ἦν.

— Si dixerimus : Ex hominibus, timemus populum : omnes enim habebant Joannem quia vere propheta esset.

— But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

— Maar indien wij zeggen: Uit de mensen; zo vrezen wij het volk; want zij hielden allen van Johannes, dat hij waarlijk een profeet was.

— Et si nous répondons: Des hommes... Ils craignaient le peuple, car tous tenaient réellement Jean pour un prophète.

Mark 11:33

^CA jah andhafjandans qeþun du Iesua: ni witum. jah andhafjands Iesus qaþ du im: nih ik izwis qiþa in ƕamma waldufnje þata tauja.

— καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ ἰησοῦ λέγουσιν, οὐκ οἴδαμεν. καὶ ὁ ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς, οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ.

— Et respondentes dicunt Jesu : Nescimus. Et respondens Jesus ait illis : Neque ego dico vobis in qua potestate hæc faciam.

— And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

— En, antwoordende, zeiden zij tot Jezus: Wij weten het niet. En Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Zo zeg Ik u ook niet, door wat macht Ik deze dingen doe.

— Alors ils répondirent à Jésus: Nous ne savons. Et Jésus leur dit: Moi non plus, je ne vous dirai pas par quelle autorité je fais ces choses.
