John chapter 10

John 10:1: ^CA Amen amen qiþa izwis, saei inn ni atgaggiþ þairh daur in gardan lambe, ak steigiþ aljaþro, sah hliftus ist jah waidedja.; — ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ μὴ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας εἰς τὴν αὐλὴν τῶν προβάτων ἀλλὰ ἀναβαίνων ἀλλαχόθεν ἐκεῖνος κλέπτης ἐστὶν καὶ λῃστής:; — Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
John 10:2: ^CA iþ sa inngaggands þairh daur hairdeis ist lambe.; — ὁ δὲ εἰσερχόμενος διὰ τῆς θύρας ποιμήν ἐστιν τῶν προβάτων.; — But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
John 10:3: ^CA þammuh daurawards uslukiþ, jah þo lamba stibnai is hausjand, jah þo swesona lamba haitiþ bi namin jah ustiuhiþ þo.; — τούτῳ ὁ θυρωρὸς ἀνοίγει, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούει, καὶ τὰ ἴδια πρόβατα φωνεῖ κατ' ὄνομα καὶ ἐξάγει αὐτά.; — To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
John 10:4: ^CA jah þan þo swesona <lamba> ustiuhiþ, faura im gaggiþ, jah þo lamba ina laistjand, unte kunnun stibna is.; — ὅταν τὰ ἴδια πάντα ἐκβάλῃ, ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν πορεύεται, καὶ τὰ πρόβατα αὐτῷ ἀκολουθεῖ, ὅτι οἴδασιν τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ:; — And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
John 10:5: ^CA iþ framaþjana ni laistjand, ak þliuhand faura imma, unte ni kunnun þize framaþjane stibna.; — ἀλλοτρίῳ δὲ οὐ μὴ ἀκολουθήσουσιν ἀλλὰ φεύξονται ἀπ' αὐτοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ οἴδασιν τῶν ἀλλοτρίων τὴν φωνήν.; — And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
John 10:6: ^CA þo gajukon qaþ im Iesus: iþ jainai ni froþun ƕa was, þatei rodida du im.; — ταύτην τὴν παροιμίαν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς: ἐκεῖνοι δὲ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν τίνα ἦν ἃ ἐλάλει αὐτοῖς.; — This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
John 10:7: ^CA þanuh qaþ aftra du im Iesus: amen amen, qiþa izwis þatei ik im daur þize lambe.; — εἶπεν οὖν πάλιν ὁ ἰησοῦς, ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα τῶν προβάτων.; — Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 10:8: ^CA allai swa managai swe qemun, þiubos sind jah waidedjans; akei ni hausidedun im þo lamba.; — πάντες ὅσοι ἦλθον [πρὸ ἐμοῦ] κλέπται εἰσὶν καὶ λῃσταί: ἀλλ' οὐκ ἤκουσαν αὐτῶν τὰ πρόβατα.; — All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
John 10:9: ^CA ik im þata daur. þairh mik jabai ƕas inngaggiþ, ganisiþ, jah inngaggiþ jah utgaggiþ jah winja bigitiþ.; — ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ θύρα: δι' ἐμοῦ ἐάν τις εἰσέλθῃ σωθήσεται καὶ εἰσελεύσεται καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ νομὴν εὑρήσει.; — I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
John 10:10: ^CA þiubs ni qimiþ, nibai ei stilai jah ufsneiþai jah fraqistjai; iþ ik qam, ei libain aigeina jah managizo aigeina.; — ὁ κλέπτης οὐκ ἔρχεται εἰ μὴ ἵνα κλέψῃ καὶ θύσῃ καὶ ἀπολέσῃ: ἐγὼ ἦλθον ἵνα ζωὴν ἔχωσιν καὶ περισσὸν ἔχωσιν.; — The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:11: ^CA ik im hairdeis gods. hairdeis sa goda saiwala seina lagjiþ faur lamba.; — ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός: ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλὸς τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ τίθησιν ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων:; — I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 10:12: ^CA iþ asneis jah saei nist hairdeis, þizei ni sind lamba swesa, gasaiƕiþ wulf qimandan jah bileiþiþ þaim lambam jah þliuhiþ, jah sa wulfs frawilwiþ þo jah distahjiþ þo lamba.; — ὁ μισθωτὸς καὶ οὐκ ὢν ποιμήν, οὗ οὐκ ἔστιν τὰ πρόβατα ἴδια, θεωρεῖ τὸν λύκον ἐρχόμενον καὶ ἀφίησιν τὰ πρόβατα καὶ φεύγει – καὶ ὁ λύκος ἁρπάζει αὐτὰ καὶ σκορπίζει –; — But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
John 10:13: ^CA iþ sa asneis afþliuhiþ, unte asneis ist jah ni kar~ist ina þize lambe.; — ὅτι μισθωτός ἐστιν καὶ οὐ μέλει αὐτῷ περὶ τῶν προβάτων.; — The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
John 10:14: ^CA ik im hairdeis sa goda jah kann meina jah kunnun mik þo meina,; — ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ποιμὴν ὁ καλός, καὶ γινώσκω τὰ ἐμὰ καὶ γινώσκουσί με τὰ ἐμά,; — I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
John 10:15: ^CA swaswe kann mik atta jah ik kann attan, jah saiwala meina lagja faur þo lamba.; — καθὼς γινώσκει με ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ γινώσκω τὸν πατέρα: καὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου τίθημι ὑπὲρ τῶν προβάτων.; — As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
John 10:16: ^CA jah anþara lamba aih þoei ni sind þis awistris, jah þo skal briggan, jah stibnos meinaizos hausjand, jah wairþand ain aweþi, ains hairdeis.; — καὶ ἄλλα πρόβατα ἔχω ἃ οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τῆς αὐλῆς ταύτης: κἀκεῖνα δεῖ με ἀγαγεῖν, καὶ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούσουσιν, καὶ γενήσονται μία ποίμνη, εἷς ποιμήν.; — And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
John 10:17: ^CA duhþe atta mik frijoþ, unte ik lagja saiwala meina, ei aftra nimau þo.; — διὰ τοῦτό με ὁ πατὴρ ἀγαπᾷ ὅτι ἐγὼ τίθημι τὴν ψυχήν μου, ἵνα πάλιν λάβω αὐτήν.; — Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
John 10:18: ^CA ni ƕashun nimiþ þo af <mis, akei ik lagja þo af> mis silbin; waldufni haba aflagjan þo, jah waldufni haba aftra niman þo. þo anabusn nam at attin meinamma.; — οὐδεὶς αἴρει αὐτὴν ἀπ' ἐμοῦ, ἀλλ' ἐγὼ τίθημι αὐτὴν ἀπ' ἐμαυτοῦ. ἐξουσίαν ἔχω θεῖναι αὐτήν, καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω πάλιν λαβεῖν αὐτήν: ταύτην τὴν ἐντολὴν ἔλαβον παρὰ τοῦ πατρός μου.; — No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
John 10:19: ^CA þanuh missaqiss aftra warþ miþ Iudaium in þize waurde.; — σχίσμα πάλιν ἐγένετο ἐν τοῖς ἰουδαίοις διὰ τοὺς λόγους τούτους.; — There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
John 10:20: ^CA qeþunuh managai ize: unhulþon habaiþ jah dwalmoþ; ƕa þamma hauseiþ?; — ἔλεγον δὲ πολλοὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν, δαιμόνιον ἔχει καὶ μαίνεται: τί αὐτοῦ ἀκούετε;; — And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
John 10:21: ^CA sumaih qeþun: þo waurda ni sind unhulþon habandins; ibai mag unhulþo blindaim augona uslukan?; — ἄλλοι ἔλεγον, ταῦτα τὰ ῥήματα οὐκ ἔστιν δαιμονιζομένου: μὴ δαιμόνιον δύναται τυφλῶν ὀφθαλμοὺς ἀνοῖξαι;; — Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?
John 10:22: ^CA warþ þan inniujiþa in Iairusaulwmai, jah wintrus was.; — ἐγένετο τότε τὰ ἐγκαίνια ἐν τοῖς ἱεροσολύμοις: χειμὼν ἦν,; — And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
John 10:23: ^CA jah ƕarboda Iesus in alh in ubizwai Saulaumonis.; — καὶ περιεπάτει ὁ ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ ἐν τῇ στοᾷ τοῦ σολομῶνος.; — And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
John 10:24: ^CA þanuh birunnun ina Iudaieis jah qeþun du imma: und ƕa saiwala unsara hahis? jabai þu sijais Xristus, qiþ unsis andaugiba.; — ἐκύκλωσαν οὖν αὐτὸν οἱ ἰουδαῖοι καὶ ἔλεγον αὐτῷ, ἕως πότε τὴν ψυχὴν ἡμῶν αἴρεις; εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός, εἰπὲ ἡμῖν παρρησίᾳ.; — Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
John 10:25: ^CA andhof <im> Iesus: qaþ izwis, jah ni galaubeiþ; waurstwa þoei ik tauja in namin attins meinis, þo weitwodjand bi mik;; — ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, εἶπον ὑμῖν καὶ οὐ πιστεύετε: τὰ ἔργα ἃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρός μου ταῦτα μαρτυρεῖ περὶ ἐμοῦ:; — Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
John 10:26: ^CA akei jus ni galaubeiþ, unte ni sijuþ lambe meinaize, swaswe qaþ izwis.; — ἀλλὰ ὑμεῖς οὐ πιστεύετε, ὅτι οὐκ ἐστὲ ἐκ τῶν προβάτων τῶν ἐμῶν.; — But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 10:27: ^CA lamba meina stibnai meinai hausjand, jah ik kann þo, jah laistjand mik.; — τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἐμὰ τῆς φωνῆς μου ἀκούουσιν, κἀγὼ γινώσκω αὐτά, καὶ ἀκολουθοῦσίν μοι,; — My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28: ^CA jah ik libain aiweinon giba im, jah ni fraqistnand aiw; jah ni frawilwiþ ƕashun þo us handau meinai.; — κἀγὼ δίδωμι αὐτοῖς ζωὴν αἰώνιον, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀπόλωνται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ οὐχ ἁρπάσει τις αὐτὰ ἐκ τῆς χειρός μου.; — And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29: ^CA atta meins þatei fragaf mis, maizo allaim ist, jah ni aiw ainshun mag frawilwan þo us handau attins meinis.; — ὁ πατήρ μου ὃ δέδωκέν μοι πάντων μεῖζόν ἐστιν, καὶ οὐδεὶς δύναται ἁρπάζειν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς τοῦ πατρός.; — My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
John 10:30: ^CA ik jah atta meins ain siju.; — ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ἕν ἐσμεν.; — I and my Father are one.
John 10:31: ^CA nemun aftra stainans þai Iudaieis, ei waurpeina ana ina.; — ἐβάστασαν πάλιν λίθους οἱ ἰουδαῖοι ἵνα λιθάσωσιν αὐτόν.; — Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
John 10:32: ^CA andhof im Iesus: managa goda waurstwa ataugida izwis us attin meinamma, in ƕarjis þize waurstwe staineiþ mik?; — ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς ὁ ἰησοῦς, πολλὰ ἔργα καλὰ ἔδειξα ὑμῖν ἐκ τοῦ πατρός: διὰ ποῖον αὐτῶν ἔργον ἐμὲ λιθάζετε;; — Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
John 10:33: ^CA andhofun imma þai Iudaieis: in godis waurstwis ni stainjam þuk, ak in wajamereins, jah þatei þu manna wisands taujis þuk silban du guda.; — ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ ἰουδαῖοι, περὶ καλοῦ ἔργου οὐ λιθάζομέν σε ἀλλὰ περὶ βλασφημίας, καὶ ὅτι σὺ ἄνθρωπος ὢν ποιεῖς σεαυτὸν θεόν.; — The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
John 10:34: ^CA andhof im Iesus: niu ist gameliþ in witoda izwaramma: ik qaþ, guda sijuþ?; — ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, οὐκ ἔστιν γεγραμμένον ἐν τῷ νόμῳ ὑμῶν ὅτι ἐγὼ εἶπα, θεοί ἐστε;; — Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John 10:35: ^CA jabai jainans qaþ guda, du þaimei waurd gudis warþ, jah ni maht ist gatairan þata gamelido;; — εἰ ἐκείνους εἶπεν θεοὺς πρὸς οὓς ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐγένετο, καὶ οὐ δύναται λυθῆναι ἡ γραφή,; — If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
John 10:36: ^CA þanei atta gaweihaida jah insandida in þana fairƕu, jus qiþiþ þatei wajamerjau, unte qaþ: sunus gudis im?; — ὃν ὁ πατὴρ ἡγίασεν καὶ ἀπέστειλεν εἰς τὸν κόσμον ὑμεῖς λέγετε ὅτι βλασφημεῖς, ὅτι εἶπον, υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ εἰμι;; — Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
John 10:37: ^CA niba taujau waurstwa attins meinis, ni galaubeiþ mis;; — εἰ οὐ ποιῶ τὰ ἔργα τοῦ πατρός μου, μὴ πιστεύετέ μοι:; — If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
John 10:38: ^CA iþ jabai taujau, niba mis galaubjaiþ, þaim waurstwam galaubjaiþ, ei ufkunnaiþ jah galaubjaiþ þatei in mis atta jah ik in imma.; — εἰ δὲ ποιῶ, κἂν ἐμοὶ μὴ πιστεύητε, τοῖς ἔργοις πιστεύετε, ἵνα γνῶτε καὶ γινώσκητε ὅτι ἐν ἐμοὶ ὁ πατὴρ κἀγὼ ἐν τῷ πατρί.; — But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
John 10:39: ^CA sokidedun ina aftra gafahan, jah usiddja us handum ize.; — ἐζήτουν [οὖν] αὐτὸν πάλιν πιάσαι: καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῶν.; — Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
John 10:40: ^CA jah galaiþ aftra ufar Iaurdanu in þana stad þarei was Iohannes frumist daupjands, jah salida jainar.; — καὶ ἀπῆλθεν πάλιν πέραν τοῦ ἰορδάνου εἰς τὸν τόπον ὅπου ἦν ἰωάννης τὸ πρῶτον βαπτίζων, καὶ ἔμεινεν ἐκεῖ.; — And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
John 10:41: ^CA jah managai qemun at imma jah qeþun þatei Iohannes gatawida taikne ni ainohun; iþ allata þatei qaþ Iohannes bi þana, sunja was.; — καὶ πολλοὶ ἦλθον πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον ὅτι ἰωάννης μὲν σημεῖον ἐποίησεν οὐδέν, πάντα δὲ ὅσα εἶπεν ἰωάννης περὶ τούτου ἀληθῆ ἦν.; — And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true.
John 10:42: ^CA jah galaubidedun managai du imma jainar.; — καὶ πολλοὶ ἐπίστευσαν εἰς αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ.; — And many believed on him there.
